Abstract: |
When completed in December 2008, Subang Kelana Link will form a strategic connection with several highways: Federal Highway (FH), New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE), New Pantai Expressway (NPE) and Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS). The project is implemented by the Public Works Department (PWD), Malaysia on a “Design and Built” contract. The “Design and Built” contractor was awarded to construct an approximately 4,5 km long elevated structure, upgrade the existing roads and improve the junctions in December 2003. The completion date of the project is December 2008. This paper presents the detailed structural engineering aspects of the project, design challenges and construction methods. |
