Abstract:

The transmission line is the key medium and channel for power transmission from the power supply side to the power consumption side. As the infrastructure supporting the transmission line, the iron tower is crucial for the safe and stable operation of the grid. In recent years, the phenomenon of corrosion at the foot of power transmission towers has been expanding, which is a major hidden danger affecting the security of the power grid. Based on the actual situation, this paper summarizes the corrosion characteristics of the current transmission line tower foot and points out the harm and reaction mechanism of tower foot corrosion. According to the existing technical conditions, the corrosion prevention measures for the tower foot are proposed to eliminate the hidden danger of tower corrosion from the root and improve the safe operation level of transmission lines, which can be used for reference by relevant personnel.
