Abstract:

Blasting excavation will induce damage of surrounding rock of tunnel, and bolt-mesh-shotcrete support is often used for damaged tunnel. This paper learns force characteristics of bolt, location of fracture surface of tunnel and corresponding stability coefficient through analysis on stability of supported tunnel based on strength reduction method. The study indicates that: it’s easy to induce damage of local rock mass of surrounding rock when the bolt spacing is too big, while tunnel support has limited stability and poor economy when the bolt spacing is too small. The reasonable spacing and length of supporting bolts are 1.0m and 3.5m respectively. Results of the study have certain guiding significance for tunnel engineering construction.
