Abstract: |
The report concerns the San Lorenzo Cathedral, an important monument of Perugia's architecture, built at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries and since then continuously subjected to restoration works. The deterioration of its static condition made necessary in recent years the definition of an overall static restoration project. Repairs and strengthening works have been done since 1497. In 1568, some ties were probably inserted at vault level to avoid further dangerous damage. |
