Abstract: |
The 12 km long new S-Bahn line, an integral part of Zurich's 380 km-long express railway system, is connected to the national and international rail networks by the through station Museumstrasse. The four-track station is located directly beneath the Museumstrasse and the tracks 15 and 16 of the Zurich main station. Its depth was determined by the rivers Sihl and Limmat which both had to be underpassed. At its lowest level, the platform level, it has a width of 36 m and a height of 6 m. The two middle platforms between the tracks 21 to 24 are both 320 m long and 10.35 m wide. |
