Radial gates are widely used in Europe as lock systems in water ways. The high flexibility in easily adapting to existing and as well to newly built structures are one of the features creating advantages for consultants and as well for the operating companies. Radial gates are used as bottom outlets in tunnel and dams and also on weir structures with huge span. Based on a number of executed projects this report gives an overview of different applications where this technology has been used to approach the given challenges.
