Installation of columns with depth vibrators in soils with undrained cohesion cu< 15 kN/m².Site experiences and systematic model tests show that the installation of vibro stone columns and vibro mortar columns is possible with a depth vibrator even in a very soft soil with an undrained cohesion of cu = 4 kN/m². The old limit value of cu = 15 kN/m² is no longer valid. The DIBt ("Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik", German federal institute for construction technique, Berlin) accommodates this fact in the actual version of the general technical approval Nr. Z-34.2-3 for vibro concrete columns (VCC) and ready-mixed vibro mortar columns (VMC). |
