Sandwich panels under exposure to fire - an inventory.

Depending on their composition, sandwich panels fulfil different requirements under exposure to fire. For the use and selection of the right type, it is necessary to have a classification according to material class and fire resistance. In recent years, this classification has changed due to the opening of the Single European Market and the related standardization of the regulations. Additionally to the explanation of the current situation, reference is given to the rules which were used in Germany so far and future trends are shown.
