Abstract:

This document presents a proposal for improving the partial shear connection method used for the calculation of sagging bending resistance of composite slabs. The improvement is aimed in particular at the equilibrium model of the section of the slab at the ultimate limit state, taking into account the interaction between the tensile force in the sheeting and its resistance moment.
