Abstract: |
The news that New York City's FDR Drive viaduct required extensive rehabilitation generated considerable concern. How could this rehabilitation be accomplished without inflicting major traffic delays on this major thoroughfare? The solution was a unique, flexible, floating marine fender system that protects a detour roadway extending into Manhattan's East River. |
