Once dismissed as radical, dam removal is increasingly being viewed as a viable option for resolving the safety and environmental concerns associated with aging dams. By participating in a growing number of dam removal projects, engineers are helping to influence a practice that could profoundly reshape the nations physical and cultural landscape. |
