Abstract: |
The Paderno Bridge is the most important monument of the 19th century iron architecture in Italy. Built in 1889, it received no maintenance for several decades. The original structure, badly damaged by corrosion, is now being restored with the aim of standardising, through a limited number of interventions, the residual bearing capacity of the different sections. If it proves necessary, restrictions on live service loads will be imposed. |
