Short length repair of concrete columns with total strength loss

It is presented the results of a research program about repair for contered load of concret that have lost such amount of its bearing capacity that makes advisable the repair for total inicial strength capacity. It has been designed and tested two repair procedures:polymeric concrete jacket and steel angles tightened against column corners through high strength preloaded bolts. One of the main repair methods characteristic is the shortest possible design, that is, the smallest repair length at each side of damage. Bothe methods have led to good results that, with constructive details and calculation method discussion, are explained in the conclussions.
