| Abstract: | This contribution aims to establish an initial state of knowledge on the subject of the reuse of building materials and their transformation in Brussels between the thirteenth and nineteenth century. The results are based on a reading of historical sources and data from archaeological excavations. Particular attention is paid to the distinction between new or reused fragmentary materials, their use in construction, and some specific instances of implementation. |
