Abstract: |
A major grain silo complex was constructed at Imam Khomeini Port, Iran, in the mid-1970s, just prior the Islamic Revolution. In June 1994, a fire in some bin silos led to an explosion that resulted in the destruction of several silos, damage to other areas, as well as to some machinery. The explosion caused nearly total damage to three silos, two interstices and two pocket bins, all of which had contained wheat, and also to one circular unit for stairs and elevator shafts. |
