Recommended Practice to Assess and Control Strand/concrete Bonding Properties of ASTM A416 Prestressing Strand

This recommended practice defines meth¬ods of strand bond testing and a design methodology that can be consistently applied by precast concrete producers, strand manufacturers, structural designers, owners, and their repre¬sentatives. This document also includes extensive commentary, which is presented in italic type following the sections to which it applies, and two examples of its application. This document supersedes the recommended practice previously published in the November-December 2020 issue of PCI Journal (https://doi.org/pcij65.6-06).
