Close to the edge anchorages under inclined loading

Fixtures in concrete structures are often situated close to free edges of the concrete. Analytical proof of this fastenings can be problematic because of high loads and conservative assumptions within the design concept. The work presented in this paper deals with close to the edge fastenings unter inclined loading with consideration of installation tolerances. Based on experiments the fracture behaviour is analysed and a possible enhancement to the current design concept, derived from the experimental observed behaviour, is introduced. This enhancement can allow for a higher utilization of the fixture while keeping the required safety level.
