Bridge over the Segura river

The bridge over the Segura river is located in the Murcia-Puerto Lumbreras motorway, in Murcia. It is a prestressed concrete continuous deck 656 m long. There are two independent decks 13,50 m long with a 3,0 m wide median strip. It is longitudinally divided into three parts by halved joints. The main spans vary from 33,50 m to 34,00 m with a constant depth of 1,50 m. In the first part there is a 64,0 m long main span. It has been solved with a lower deck arch structure. The two carriageways are joined together by transverse ribs. With this solution the same depth of the deck and the same construction procedure has been used.
