Abstract: |
"Arenal" bridge at CórdobaThe work is a continuous prestressed composite bridge with three spans at 55-110-55 m with many variable sections. The bridge includes in the central supports semiactive devices with vertical bars acting as tendons anchorages to the piers, that fix favourably the central span, improving its slenderness without damage for the lateral spans. The bridge is enclose in a typological line developed by the author in other very important previous works. In this previous works large prestressed concrete elements are inserted in a continuous way with box girders with double composite action. In this bridge the steel-concrete blend is fully interactive and achieves a deep structural and visual continuity between all the materials and the different cross sections. |
