Abstract: |
Bridges "Los Frailes" and "Pinedo"The three structures presented in this paper are statically determined. Los Frailes bridge is a straight cantilever with two spans of 53 m. It is formed by a central lightenned slab of 26 m. and U-shape beams of 40 m. Pinedo bridges are two box section slabs of strong curvature and a single span of around the 35 m. In this structure it is specially remarkable their support system. In Los Frailes we found a single central pier with four piers. In Pinedo the slabs are supported by tripods with a single bearing in one of the abutments and two in the other one. The constructive process in Los Frailes forced the transversal removal of eight of the U-beams, with a weight of 100 tons each, from the former bridge to their final position. |
