Project for the roof of the Dos Hermanas velodrome

This paper describes the basic geometrical criteria that have guided the design of the roof of the Dos Hermanas Velodrome to achieve an optimum structure wh e re only a few elements have been used to obtain a clear geometrical pattern that transmits loads dire c t ly to the foundations. Similarly, we have developed the basic concepts of dimensioning and structural analysis, based on current codes and without resorting to expensive calculations other than the finite element methods. Lastly, the construction phases are set out by means of step by step pictures that describe the erection of the roof.
