Abstract: |
Pre-stressing for the dock structureThis structure has active reinforcement in all three directions: length, height and width. The tendons used are ?BR CONA Compact? system with 6 to 31 cables of a diameter of 0.6?, as well as 50 mm Macalloy bars. The main measurements total almost 130 km of sheath, over 3,150,000 kg of cable and 120,000 kg of bars. Other significant features included: rigid tubular sheath, dual anchorage outer protection, cathode protection for all parts and vacuum injection of the tendons. Given the special characteristics of the pre-stressing a number of tests was performed as specified in the project and by the relevant regulations. Further tests were done to verify the viability of the execution projects developed. |
