Abstract: |
General design criteriaThe author develops a complete revision of the base concepts proposed and used by EC4 in comparison with the global and local aspects that define, precisely, the composite design as a specific system and not as a simple addition of separate concrete and steel structures. They are remarked the successes and lacks that EC4 presents in the author's opinion and the possible lines of action to introduce its use in Spain in a simultaneous or sequential way with EC2 and EC3 for concrete and steel structures, respectively. The overview is completed with two examples of analysis in which can be followed the EC4 hypothesis in contrast with another more accurate criteria. |
