Abstract:

Activities encourage people to make movements to meet their needs. Palu II Bridge has an important role to connect two areas in Palu City. Data collection for this study was carried out by surveying traffic volume, side barriers and vehicle speed in the field. The study was conducted for 2 days, on Mondays and Sundays as samples of working days and working holidays starting at 06:30 – 08:30, 11:00 – 13:00 and 17:00 – 19:00. Data The number of vehicles that have been obtained is converted into units of smp/hour. Determination of the class of side barriers and vehicle speed based on survey data that has been obtained. Calculating the capacity according to MKJI (1997) for urban roads based on the data obtained. Based on the results of data analysis, the value of the traffic volume on the Palu II Bridge is 1805 pcu/hour and the capacity value is 2330 pcu/hour. While the value of the degree of saturation is at a value of 0.775 with the level of service in category D. The factors that greatly affect the capacity of the road are the volume of vehicles, environmental conditions found on the road, vehicle speed, direction separator and side barriers.
