Abstract:

New bridge over the Manzanares river in the south connection in Madrid

The new bridge over the Manzanares river allows the pass of the right road of the M-30 highway direction Castilla Road to CN-1. The solution consist in a continuous beam with variable depth from 1,70 to 3,00 m with four spans of 35, 40, 40 and 35 m. The transversal section is a four-box girder of prestressed concrete. The total width of the roadplatform is 17,0 m. The piers are a unique column of octogonal section with a top landing V element transversally prestressed which allows a bearing distance of 5,40 m. The construction method is the "in site" successive span with partial prestressed.
