The new DAfStb-Guideline "Strengthening of concrete structures with adhesive bonded reinforcement"

The strengthening of concrete structures with adhesive bonded reinforcement has in Germany only been governed so far through national technical approvals and approvals in individual cases. Since the strengthening of reinforced concrete structures with adhesive bonded reinforcement has become a standard construction method and due to the starting of a harmonisation process in European standardisation committees a new guideline in this area of interest was created. For that purpose all groups, which are concerned about this topic were assembled in a committee under the responsibility of the German Committee for Structural Concrete and created the DAfStb-guideline "strengthening of concrete structures with adhesive bonded reinforcement". The guideline will be published in September or October 2012.
