Abstract:

Since the beginning of the military invasion by Russia on February 24, 2022 and subsequent hostilities in Ukraine, approximately 140,000 residential buildings (of which around 18,000 are apartment buildings) have been destroyed or damaged. Destructions require a systematic approach to the restoration or construction of new buildings. This article analyzes the types of destruction of multi‐story prefabricated reinforced concrete residential buildings and proposed methods for restoration of damaged and partially destroyed high‐rise buildings. Improved modular concrete structures developed from high‐performance concrete and different variations of rebar can significantly speed up the recovery of affected regions.
