Abstract: |
The research study was intended to investigate the potential use of geothermal energy power plants in subsurface infrastructure such as tunnels and active or closed mines. The aims of the study was to examine the geological and geothermal conditions of a tunnel and a mine to survey the drilling technologies and necessary infrastructures for the drilling of deep boreholes as well as to determine rock, operating and process parameters and safety aspects in case of subsurface structures. The results are given in an evaluation matrix, which assembles the collected data and describes the specific boundary conditions of the tunnel projects and the mine as well as the risks of project Implementation. |
