Abstract:

Minimization of risks of wind power plants.

The cost of energy pressure is high in the renewables power market. All actors must make use of the lessons learned from offshore wind power plant projects to face current and future challenges. Extracting experiences from projects over the last years will help to increase the awareness of avoidable obstacles and costs. The available technical standards provide the users a basis to improve their product and project developments. However, utilizing the experiences and know-how is key for future success. Therefore the lessons learned should be shared within the industry to enhance the maturity of offshore wind business. Reliable quality, stable operation and proper risk management will help to produce renewable power in a competitive energy sector.
