Abstract:

The purpose of predictive maintenance is to predict the failure of a component or machinery, to plan its replacement at the lowest possible cost, minimizing downtime and maximizing the life of the component. In the case of dynamic systems subject to deterioration or random wear, such as pumps, vibration measurement and Fourier analysis are used to characterize and monitor their behavior.
