Measurement results and building physics solutions for dealing with the problem of joist ends in external walls with internal insulation.

Uncertainty regarding the assessment of the building physics situation of joist ends in external walls with internal insulation has existed for a surprisingly long time. This article takes a look at the current situation and presents current test scenarios set up for different solutions in several properties, including the first new measurement results. On the basis of ongoing and future projects, it is intended to establish tested and calculated principles and design aids for practical applications.
