Airborne sound reduction in multistorey buildings with brick walls - Prediction according to German standard DIN 4109 and comparison with measurements.The calculation of the airborne sound insulation between apartments with outer walls made of lightweight hollow bricks is often not possible with the calculation procedures given in German standard DIN 4109 Beiblatt 1. Therefor an approval by the DIBT was issued which settles the calculation of the airborne sound reduction for this kind of buildings according to the "new" DIN 4109. In this article the calculation model and the therefore required input data are presented and the hereby predicted values are compared with measured results in situ. Furthermore the influence on the actual construction of the junction on the vibration reduction index of partition walls and floors with lightweight hollow brick walls is presented. |
