Construction solutions for slim-floor beam joints.Slim-floor beam solutions offer many advantages for the construction of multi-storey buildings or industrial buildings regarding architectural, constructional and economical aspects. Nowadays the design of slim-floor beam constructions is mainly ruled by national approvals. Slim-floor beams are not really covered by Eurocode EN 1994-1-1 [2]. Slim-floor constructions mainly differ from normal composite girders by the application of different shear connectors as well as deformation and shear force capacity behaviour. In the following paper the wide range of slim-floor solutions will be presented regarding the construction solutions of joints and the behaviour of the shear loading. The joint solutions will be presented for slim-floor girders with a hat-profile for girder-girder joints as well as girder-column or girder-wall joints. However, the presented joints can be transferred to many other slim-floor sections. |
