Karl Marguerre - The shoulders which we are standing on.

Only to few scientists in Germany Karl Marguerre today is really known, though during his time as professor at TH Darmstadt he endeavored for the young generation and many students visited his lectures. Among his pubils were Ernst Giencke, Walter Schnell, Horst Wölfel, Hans-Theo Wörnle and Klaus Knothe. He also strongly influenced Robert Gasch (a pupil of Klaus Federn) and Erwin Stein who later on was professor at the Leibniz University at Hannover.
