Abstract: The effect of the modulus of elasticity of concrete on seismic behavior of Koyna gravity dam in India is studied in the paper using probabilistic analysis. Numerical model based on the finite element method is used to analyse the base-case scenario involving the dam-reservoir-foundation interaction. The results show that the modulus of elasticity significantly affects seismic behaviour of concrete gravity dams. The results of the analysis are presented as bilinear curves.
