Issues of health and safety in the Irish construction industry

The frequencies of fatalities in the construction industry tends to be higher than almost any other sector of Irish industry save agriculture. The introduction of domestic legislation and European community legislation has improved the working environment but occupational accidents are still regarded as a major problem.
