| Abstract: | After showing the necessity of approaching the study of the building sector in a manner devoid of ideology and prejudices, this contribution focuses on Enlightenment-era Milan. In particular, this article presents the organization of the sector and the strategies and the logic behind entrepreneurial actions. The analysis focuses on the particular characteristics of the labor market in the construction sector, highlighting how entrepreneurs in the sector were exploiting them effectively. |
