Abstract:

The indoor environment is an enclosed space where people tend to spend more and more time. Its atmosphere has a significant impact on room users. The article deals with the self – reported problems of volunteers related to the sick building syndrome (SBS). The tests were performed in the large lecture room of Kielce University of Technology, where 69 students took part in the questionnaire survey on indoor environment and health related problems. The results show that the students experienced SBS symptoms and that they might have an impact on their concentration during the lecture.
