Abstract:

The main objective of this research is to identify the most relevant needs, including those related to sustainability, which should be taken into account in low-income housing projects, and to assess the degree of satisfaction of the end users already living in this type of housing. It describes the strategies, tools, techniques and practices necessary for ist identification, for which information is collected from the post-occupation stage, within the framework of the Lean Project Delivery System. In order to comply with the above, the following steps were followed: (1) Information was collected on the problems that comprise the housing deficit and urban planning in the study area; (2) Surveys were designed and conducted for the population that already lives in typical social housing, identifying unmet needs, with emphasis on sustainability criteria; and (3) The results of the surveys were compared with the needs of the users obtained previously through the use of the problem tree tool, obtaining conclusions and recommendations on this type of project. The case study was the typical social housing of Metropolitan Lima.
