Abstract:

The Protection regulation Against Fires, and in relation with the fixed facilities of extinction based on Standpipe Hose System (BB.II.EE), prescribes that the above mentioned facilities must provide at least during an hour a few pressures and minimal flows, in the hypotheses of simultaneous functioning of both Standpipe Hose System hydraulically more unfavorable, for what the conditions established of pressure, flow and water reservation will have to be guaranteed adequately. Now then, the regulation does not specify to that BB.II.EE must to him apply the previous requirements; only it is said that to both Standpipe Hose System hydraulically more unfavorable. It is habitual, provided that it turns out seemingly reasonable, that on having designed an installation against fires are considered to be more unfavorable Standpipe Hose System more distant, and higher, of existing, being the aim of this work to show that not always there is fulfilled the rule of which both most unfavorable Standpipe Hose System are more far from the group of pressure, trying to establish also criteria to select the above mentioned BB.II.EE. This analysis is important because it is possible that if an installation does not fulfill a priori the requirements of the regulation, and the BB.II.EE do not provide the sufficient flows, it might take as a consequence not extinction of the developed fire.
