Abstract:

Historical development of sustainable building.

This article deals with the historical development of sustainability and it depicts on the resulting requirements und qualities for sustainable building. Ecological, economical und socio-cultural aspects have to be regarded as equal considering the whole life-cycle of the building from "cradle to grave". Due to this several interdependencies arise that can be optimised by means of ecological and economical life cycle analysis. Regarding several ecological, economical und socio-cultural aspects this article identifies those dependencies and reveals the resulting implications.
