Remarks to the Design of Concrete Silos with large Discharge Eccentricities according to DIN EN 1991-4Where large eccentricities of discharge occur in circular silo bins DIN 1055-6:2005 and DIN 1991-4 define special different load cases resulting in a very unfavourable design situation with bending, tensile and shear forces. In this paper special background information are given of the loading rules and due to the specifics in using the existing relevant design codes. |
