Structural fire design of masonry according to Eurocode 6.

Publicating the National Annex to Eurocode 6 Part 1-2 in July 2013 all essentials of structural fire design of masonry due to Eurocode 6 are available now. In practice Eurocode 6 is now allowed to be used in full extent in accordance with the equivalent introduction of the Fachkommission Bautechnik. Despite the changes to the european concept with implementation of new fire resistance classifications the already known tables to determine the fire resistance class depending on the thickness of the wall are nearly unchanged the decisive parameters for structural fire design according to Eurocode 6 as well. In the following the few changes and conversions to the state of the art are illustrated and explained.
