Abstract:

Glass fibre reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) - A building material with great potential for the future.

The combination of a high bearing strength and low heat conductivity shows the high potential of this building material for the future. A specific glass fibre reinforcement should resolve an important disadvantage of AAC - the low tensile strength. Therefor both new glass fibre systems were developed and the impact of the reinforcement was investigated fundamentally.
