Abstract:

This paper presents the procedure for members with a tapered section and/or non-uniform distribution of the compression force along their length. The arrangement of formulas from part 1 (s. last issue of "Stahlbau") for arch structures with mutually inclined arches is shown too. Numerical examples in this part demonstrate a wide field of applications for the hinit,m imperfection, also for cases where other methods allowed for in EN1993-1-1:2005 and in EN1999-1-1:2005 are not applicable or can be used only as an approximation. The abbreviation hinit,m imperfection is used for equivalent unique global and local initial imperfection.
