Abstract: |
Structure of the "Dataflux" Tower, in Monterrey (México)This article describes the main characteristics and construction system of the structure of the ?Dataflux? Tower, in Monterrey (Mexico). The full height of the building is 182 meters. It is made up of two large concrete cores, connected by three steel structures, situated at different levels by way of a bridge, and which act as a suspension system for the slab floors at lower levels. All of the slabs are made of concrete post-tensioned by means of unbonded tendons. The suspension elemerits are formed by homogenized stays, made of concrete and high-strength strands encased in pipes of structural steel. The construction system has brought a singular solution, that has made it possible to carry out the work in a short period of time. |
