Ultimate limit states for shear, torsion and punching

This report includes the communication prepared for the presentation of the Eurocode 2: "Concrete Structures" technical meeting, and refers to the ultimate limit states for shear, torsion and punching. First of all and for each force, the communication describes the classic models on which the calculations of these limit states are based, and the design equations are deduced. Then, the differences between Eurocode and the Spanish Instruction, when applying the classical models, are explained. Further on, the results obtained using both codes are checked. This comparison is made for the main design equations, and the design of the diagrams, usual values are given to the parameters. In some cases, it has been necessary to particularize in a specific structural model. Studying these diagrams, it can be concluded, for a particular case, whether the deviation between the two codes are significant.
