Abstract: |
For the erection of five river piers of a bridge over the Inn River, a combination of bored piles, concrete-filled steel tubes and prefab elements was applied. This paper describes the advantages of the chosen solution compared with a conventional one and shows the construction steps. The executed structure reduced the construction risk for the owner and the contractor without affecting the appearance, the function and the durability of the bridge. |
