Abstract:

Development of prestressed concrete rules in the GDR - 50 years TGL 0-4227

The pre-stressed concrete calculation in the GDR was defined by the DIN 4227 for the first time. In 1964 the TGL 0 4227 was introduced. This standard also allowed for the dimensioning of prestressed concrete in state II In the seventies, the uniform technical rules and regulations concrete (ETV Beton) was developed as a design method based on the semi-probabilistic safety concept, and introduced in 1981 obligatory. These former calculation approaches are similar to the assumptions of today's eurocodes.
