Abstract: |
The Zarzuela junction of M-40 in MadridThe Zarzuela Junction is located at the limit between Stretches I and II of the northern closure of Madrid?s fourth ringroad M-40. In a relatively small space, more than 32.750 m² of structures are concentrated. The structures (only the most representative of them are here described) solve the different movements of connection between M-40, M-30 (Madrid's third ringroad) and the road to El Pardo. The definition and selection of the structural typology were planned with the purpose of systeniatising the construction process, a required condition, given the short delays estabished for the construction. The work was inaugurated in July 1996. |
